The life and times of SRK
A 50-minute film will be made on Shah Rukh Khan's life. His friends from Bollywood will act in it
Kunal M Shah
A bio-pic based on the life of Shah Rukh Khan is on its way. The management at Madame Tussauds has commissioned a film to be made on the Bollywood baadshah's life. Entitled The Making of Another King Khan, the film will be a 50-minute-long chronicle of the actor's life.
A source from London says, "The museum wanted to have a film chronicling Shah Rukh's life and they approached Bobby Khan for it. The film will narrate the story of the actor's life right from his childhood days and will end at the unveiling of his wax statue at Madame Tussauds.
What's more, the film will feature SRK's friends (Juhi Chawla, Karan Johar and Aziz Mirza amongst others) from the film industry. The buzz is that most of the directors, actors, actresses and directors with whom Shah Rukh has worked in the past will be roped in for the film.
Bobby Khan, the director of this short film, is currently in the process of finalising people for the film, and has already spoken with many of them. The film will have a grand release later this year.
Our source reveals, "Aziz Mirza, Juhi Chawla and Karan Johar are some of the people who have already agreed to do the film." Several leading ladies will also be part of the film.
Director Bobby Khan remained unavailable for comment.

By IndiaFM News Bureau, March 19, 2007 - 10:47 IST
The management of the popular wax museum Madame Tussauds, London, has now decided to make a 50-minute short film as a tribute to the life of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan. The film has been named The Making of Another King Khan.
Madame Tussauds is a museum that commemorates the world’s most popular personalities by creating strikingly similar wax statues. Aishwarya Rai and Amitabh Bachchan have already been immortalized in the museum. Shah Rukh is the next in queue. It is learned that the museum wanted to make a narrative on Shah Rukh’s life since a long time. They finally approached choreographer Bobby Khan for it. Bobby, who is directing the film, is now finalizing the list of people whom he plans to feature in the film. Some of the people who have been roped in to be a part of this 50-minute biopic include established names like Karan Johar, Juhi Chawla, and Aziz Mirza. Shah Rukh’s celebrity friends from the Indian film industry and some of the leading ladies will also be seen.
The film will chronicle the life of SRK right from his childhood days to his struggle as a newcomer in the industry to his super success. The premiere screening will be followed by the official unveiling of his wax statue at the museum. The film will also see a public release later this year.

March 19, 2007
It has been decided at the famous wax museum Madame Tussuad's in London to make a 50-minute film as a tribute to the life of our own Baadshah of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan. The film has been named The Making of Another King Khan.
It is learnt that the museum wanted to make a narrative on Shah Rukh's life for quite some time. Finally, they approached choreographer Bobby Khan. Bobby, who is directing the film, is now finalising the list of people whom he plans to feature in the film. Some of the people who have been roped in to be a part of this biopic include Karan Johar, Juhi Chawla, and Aziz Mirza. Shah Rukh's celebrity friends from the Indian film industry and some of the leading ladies will be included as well.
The film will chronicle the life of King Khan, from his childhood days to his struggle as a newcomer in the industry to his super success. The premiere screening will be followed by the official unveiling of his wax statue at the museum. The film will also see a public release later this year.
Shah Rukh is the next to be immortalised in the museum, Aishwarya Rai and Amitabh Bachchan have already been made features.

Now, a movie on the life of Shah Rukh Khan
20th Mar 2007 21.20 IST
By Aparajita Ghosh
A movie will be made on the life of Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan , who, by the way, is more famous than Hollywood’s Tom Cruise.
With the exception of Amitabh Bachchan perhaps, no other Bollywood star has reached such heights of fame as SRK has. He is arguably the most adored film star in Asia, with a fan base stretching from Malaysia to the Middle East.
It is quite befitting that Madame Tussaud’s museum in London has decided to have a wax statue of Shah Rukh in the museum. SRK is the third Bollywood celebrity to have received the honor after Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai .
But now, reports have it that apart from the statue, the museum has shown interest in commissioning a biographic film on the life of Shah Rukh Khan.
The movie will be a 50-minute long tale of the superstar’s life, right from his childhood, his youth to his struggle in Bollywood and his eventual rise to fame. The film will end with the unveiling of the SRK statue in Madame Tussauds.
Reports have it that Bobby Khan has been approached to direct the movie.
The film is likely to include Shah Rukh’s friends: Karan Johar , Farah Khan , Juhi Chawla and Rani Mukherjee .

'Waxed' SRK will soon get shot

THE MAKING: The Madame Tussaud movie on SRK wil star most people the star has worked with.
New Delhi: He is not called the Badshah of Bollywood without good reason.
Having being ‘booked’ in many a tribute – the latest being a coffee-table edition called Still Reading Khan – and immortalised in wax at Madame Tussaud’s, Shah Rukh Khan is now going to get filmed.
So what’s extraordinary about a superstar getting filmed? There is. Reports have it that authorities at Madame Tussaud's - not satisfied with just 'waxing' him - are now keen on waxing eloquent about him in a biography.
The 50-minute-long film reportedly titled The Making of Another King Khan will hopefully be directed by Bobby Khan and will trace SRK's life and times from his childhood days, his fairytale love affair with wife Gauri and the unveiling of his statue.
Most of the directors and actors with whom SRK has worked with in the past will be roped in for the film.

I read in Ananda Bazar Patrika (the leading Bengali daily, but not entirely trustworthy IMO), that the biopic to be directed by Bobby Khan will include certain moments from SRK's life acted out. it says that entire industry is very excited about the biopic and consider this as a tribute to Bollywood itself and it is proud moment for all. Many actor friends of SRK have wished to be a part of it. As of now, apparently, KJo, Madhuri Dixit, Kajol, Yash Chopra, Preity, Rani, Juhi, Aziz Mirza are working in it. Even Gauri, who stays away from such things in general, will be a part of it.
But they say the biopic will end by showing the April unveiling of the wax statue. And the biopic will be released only towards the end of this year. (I had thought it will be shown during the unveiling itself)

King Khan's 50 mins journey
Amitabh Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai, its Shah Rukh Khan's turn to have his statue at the world's most prestigious Madame Tussaude's museum. However unlike Amitabh and Ash the Madame Tussaude's management plans to unveil King Khan's wax statue with great pomp and spectacle. Hence the management has decided to have a special screening of Mr. Shah Rukh Khan's life's bio-pic before the unveiling the superstar's wax statue! The film which will be of a short duration of 50 minutes will capture the actor's journey from childhood to stardom. The Madame Tussaude's management after going through bio data's of many directors have eventually zeroed on the film maker Bobby Khan. When we contacted Bobby Khan, the director was not available but his assistant confirmed the news. He also told us that the movie will trace many unknown aspects of actor's life and will be interrupted with Bollywood celebrities who have been close to Badshah Khan. Karan Johar, Juhi Chawla, Aziz Mirza and Rani Mukerjee have already given dates for the shooting. The
date for the unveiling ceremony is still a suspense!
