Kajol and Ash together? Never! They are just too different from each other.
Ash is only in the Bollywood industry because she was Miss World in 1994 (?) and not because of her talent. She doesn't have any charisma and I think, that the whole acting business made her a little bit to arrogant and self-confident. This how she looks to me, I obviously don't know her personally.
Kajol, on the other hand, would have managed to get actress even if her family hadn't been an "acting family". She has a natural talent and behaves so easily in public and in front of the camera. She has a really good charisma, you just HAVE to like her. What makes Kajol pretty, is the inner beauty that she radiates, but Ash, well, I don't know how you think of her, but she has in my opinion really cold eyes and only outer beauty rather than inner beauty...

I don't think that it would work. I wouldn't go as far as saying that Ash has no talent, but her acting style is like the polar opposite of Kajol's. It wouldn't work if they put them together in the same movie.

I don't really like ash and i'm an absolute Kads-fanatic, so I guess that's a reason why I don't think it would work :D !
I wouldn't say Ash can't act - she did quite a good job in Bride and prejudice - but she just doesn't make her acting look as natural and believable as Kaju's :wink: !
If the two of them were put together in a movie, I think Kads would steal the show and it wouldn't do Ash much good :DD !

I tend to think that they don't call her Icewarya for nothing. She can play with her beauty and with her expressions. But Kajol plays her roles with heart. I think Ash does better in restrained and colder roles, intellectual roles if you will, like Raincoat or Shabd. I don't like her in romantic roles that require her to show a lot of heart. Like in Devdas, I didn't think that she had any romantic chemistry with SRK or that she was believable as a silly young girl, but I think she did well in her confrontation scenes with Madhuri or when she takes over as the lady of the manor of her husband.

It's like you can see her doing the right expressions, but your heart just doesn't go out to her like it does with Kadz. There just isn't the same emotional connection.

yup, i agree with u. there's a part in which Ash is good in, as well as Kaju good in her's. Ash did well in Devdas and Taal in which she played 'cold' roles, she also dance very well. However, i cant 'feel' Ash's acting, compared 2 Kaju; Kaju gave us a realistic performance n' really going 2 steal the show if she were 2 act with Ash. but, why not? it must be kinda interesting 2 see both of them in a movie 2gether.

I agree that if Ash and Kajol will ever share screen time together, Ash would be the loser.
Kajol has a presence that Ash can't compete with.
IMHO Ash isn't such a good actress. Saw Devdas and Madhuri Dixit was brilliant in it while Ash seemed to have the sizzling chemistry of a sleeping pill. It would be even more so in any movie where she had to star alongside Kajol.
Ash has about a handful (if not less) mimic expressions while Kajol has a whole range of them and has a nice voice.
