in the second half. when kajol told little anjali to write a letter to her mum and then kajol goes to little anjali that u look like ur mum.
why was srk crying when kajol said that?

My understanding of that scene, not necessarily the right one cause interpretation is relative...

Little Anjali's lack of a maternal parent has caused her to search for some of her mother in herself. In how she looks, acts, etc. Even when Little Anjali is reading her mother's letter on her 8th Birthday and her mother states in the letter, you must look totally like your Papa, the child stops reading and responds that she's exactly like her mother, not her father... It's a need for recognition and belonging that all of us have. Even when given the task of finding Big Anjali for her father, she makes it a point to dress like Big Anjali used to... Now I'm sure this is inorder to remind her father of his lost friend and love, but in some ways I think its alos her need to imitate (as most little girls do) her mother or soon to be mother.

When Big Anjali (Kajol) accidentally forgets about the little girl's situation and asks her to write a letter to her mother and thereby hurting her emotionally, she makes amends by sitting with the child and affirming how similar Little Anjali is with her dead mother Tina. Big Anjali instinctively recognizes (as a mother would instinctively know what her own child needs) this need in the child for some positive affirmation that she is in some ways (the ways that seem most important to the child) like her lost parent. Little Anjali connects with Big Anjali in a way she hasn't ever with another woman and her father looking on, recognizes this and understands what Big Anjali has done for his daughter... Rahul's mother spying on them all, simply states into words (making the situation more real) exactly what Rahul has just seen and understood.

So I babbled a bit, does any of that make sense?

Kinda make it a theme party with my friends and do a slumber party thing (okay, I'm 24 but still enjoy slumber parties, is that weird?), with associated food, drink, party favours, something like that... Too bad everyone everyone on the forum lives so far away from me. It would be amazing to have everyone over for a Kajol-SRK party!

This other BtVS forum I'm a member of, organized something like that this past May in Nashville, TN. It was really cool. I only had a couple of days, but I got to meet hundreds of people I'd been friends with and conversing with for years!
