The Film & Television Producers Guild of India recently announced the 6th Apsara Film & Television Producers Guild Awards to be held in the first week of January 2011. In conjunction with Viacom18's Hindi General Entertainment Channel COLORS and Wizcraft International, the producers and conceptualizers of the Awards, Apsara will bring together the top talent from the world of films and television onto a single platform recognising their combined effort and significant impact on the entertainment industry for the year 2010.

The exclusive awards function will host many of the crème de la crème from the Television and Film Industry, who will come to celebrate, support and pay tribute to the accomplishments of their peers.

"The goal of Apsara Film & Television Producers Guild Awards is to celebrate the success of the Indian entertainment Industry and to felicitate those who have made a significant contribution in its stupendous growth. By honouring this incredible group who have taken charge in reforming our entertainment landscape, we hope to inspire and empower everyone to continue with the work that has left the whole world mesmerized," says Mr. Ramesh Sippy, President of the Guild.

Established by the Film and Television Producers Guild of India, the awards were initiated to honour exceptional talent and breed new potential within the film and television fraternity. Having garnered great popularity and success since the first awards in 2004, the Apsara Film & Television Producers Guild Awards have acknowledged talent, perseverance, innovation and pure artistry. In the last five years, they have gained enormous momentum, receiving a large response from the Film & Television circles, reflected in the growing volume of entries received, year after year.

Apsara Awards will be telecast on 23rd January 2011 on COLORS with stellar performances by top actors and actresses from the industry.

IT IS UNBELIVEBAL KAJOL DIDN't win any awrd neither ajay but i am very sad for ajay what a very succcessful year look espicially to this Hindustan Times Reader's Choice Entertainer Of The Year Award (Male)
Shahrukh Khan i cannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn't bellllllllive if ajay was ajay khan he will win all the awards but this just increase my love to ajay sultan and hate for bollywood

if they were going to have a tie for best actress, why not make it between vidya and kajol? why anushka? and no offense to anushka, she is really coming into her own now but she is NOT on the same level as vidya and kajol! i'm not mad vidya got it, but kajol deserved the other half of that tie.
